Fattitude the Movie is Looking for Sponsors!
The brain-child of filmmakers Lindsey Averill and Viridiana Lieberman, Fattitude is a feature length documentary film, featuring 49 amazing body positive voices, including activists, doctors, eating disorder specialists, psychologists, scholars, entertainers and media makers. Fattitude examines how popular media perpetuates the weight bias that results in a very real cultural hatred and a civil rights issue for people who are living in fat bodies.
A dynamic team, Averill and Lieberman possess the filmmaking, scholarly, writing, editing and production skills to relay the complex and intersectional reality of weight bias in Western Culture. Currently, there exists no film that truly examines this issue – an issue that affects not only fat people but also anyone dealing with body image issues.
It is our goal to present not only a film but a complete educational platform - that will include, outreach, activism, resources and education materials.
Sponsoring a film is a little different than traditional event sponsorship - in that your name with not be associated with a one time event - rather your work will be connected to Fattitude with every click or view. For years to come every time someone watches Fattitude they will know that you or your company took part in this attempt to end weight bias and fat prejudice.
